TEACHERS! Following are instructions for logging in to the password-protected Online Activities area of this site and creating your class workspace.

You should already have received the username and password via email. If you have not yet received them, contact deb@palacedigital.com.

1. Click on the “Enter Here” button at the top of this page.
2. At top right of first Online Activities page, CLICK on “Sign Up”
3. To register, type in your first name; type in your last name
4. Create a username – no more than 14 characters. We suggest using your first and last name, all run together with no spaces, all lower case.
5. Create a password. YOU MUST WRITE THESE DOWN—THE COMPUTER WILL NOT REMEMBER IT FOR YOU. Both are case sensitive!
6. Type in your school name and city. (Encourage your students to type exactly what you tell them--and spell it correctly--to ensure that their projects get published to your classroom Gallery.)
7. Then CLICK to log in—type in your username and password again, the same ones that you just made up and wrote down.

Once you begin one of the activities, DO NOT HIT THE BACK BUTTON—that will kick you out of the activity and you will lose your unsaved work.

For instance, in the digital storytelling Graphic Novelist activity, to go back to your project, CLICK on “Story Set Up.”

To go back to primary documents, CLICK on “Support Your Story.”

Your story will NOT save UNLESS you either…
- CLICK ON the “Save for Later” button or
- CLICK ON the “Share Story” button – if you don’t, you will lose all of your work

If you choose to “Save for Later” you will be able to go to a page showing your work in progress and you can go into your saved work and add more content. Then you can either Save for Later again or follow instructions to share the story and publish it to the Gallery.

TEACHERS, PLEASE TELL STUDENTS THAT YOU WILL REVIEW THEIR PROJECT CONTENT AND YOU WILL DELETE ANY PROJECTS WITH OFFENDING LANGUAGE OR IMAGERY. If you find an objectionable project that should be deleted, send an email to deb@palacedigital.com and tell us which project to remove from the site.
